Feeds XML and CSV

SCALA provide real-time stock and product feeds in both XML and CSV formats to keep you updated with the latest information about our products. Below, we'll explain how each feed works and how you can use them for your website or other purposes.

Real time XML feed

XML, allows you to store data in a structured manner. In an XML file, structured data is presented as 'plain text,' and it's commonly used for data transfer.

Using the XML Feed: Our XML feed automatically synchronizes real-time stock and product information to your webshop. This ensures that the information displayed on your website is always up-to-date. To implement the XML feed on your website, we recommend consulting your IT specialist for assistance.

Additionally, you can open the stock feed in Excel. Refer to the Microsoft help center article or the Microsoft explanation video on how to do this.

However, please note that the product feed cannot be opened in Excel.

CSV product feed

The SCALA product feed is a file that holds all the essential information about the products we offer. We update this feed every 24 hours to ensure that you always have access to the latest data.

How to Open a CSV File in Excel: CSV stands for Comma Separated Values, where each line represents a table row, and commas separate the columns. When opening a CSV file in Excel, you might encounter difficulty reading the data if it's not imported correctly.

To correctly open a CSV file in Excel, you should import it as data. Refer to the Microsoft help center article on importing data from TXT/CSV files. Find the section titled "Import a text file by connecting to it" and select your Office version. Follow the steps in the article to open the CSV file accurately.

By utilizing our real-time feeds in XML or CSV format, you can ensure that you and your customers always have the most recent product information available, enhancing the overall user experience.
